Livigno
Description
Livigno is a long, high valley town in Lombardy, close to the Swiss border, with skiing split across two main domains - Mottolino and Carosello 3000 - on either side of the valley, sharing one skipass. Livigno is also a designated duty-free zone, one of the few in the Alps, which shapes the town's shopping-heavy, laid-back character as much as its skiing does.

Independent resort - skiing is split between the Mottolino and Carosello 3000 domains on either side of the valley, connected by a shared skipass and shuttle bus rather than by ski.
