Santa Caterina Valfurva is a small village around 12 km from Bormio, at the foot of Monte Sobretta in the Alta Valtellina. An eight-seat gondola climbs from the village centre to Valle dell'Alpe. The same skipass also covers Bormio and Cima Piazzi-San Colombano, connected by a free ski bus.
