On foot: The beach runs along the village front and is walkable from anywhere in Cavo.

Cavo sits at the far northeastern tip of Elba, a low-key village that feels quieter than the resort towns of the south and west coasts. Its sandy beach runs along the village front, gently shelving and generally calm, though it can be a touch more exposed to wind than some of the sheltered coves elsewhere on the island. The village has a small strip of cafés and restaurants along the seafront, giving it more everyday infrastructure than Elba's wilder beaches, while staying modest in scale compared with Marina di Campo or Portoferraio. Cavo is also a well-known base for diving, thanks to reefs and rock formations just offshore, and it benefits from being the island's closest point to the mainland - a short ferry hop connects it to Piombino, making it a practical entry or exit point as well as a beach destination in its own right.
