Best Beaches Near Ostuni, Puglia
The best beaches near Ostuni: the small coastal coves of Rosa Marina, and the protected nature reserve of Torre Guaceto a short drive away near Carovigno.
Ostuni, the hilltop "White City" a few kilometres inland, doesn't have a beach of its own, but its coastline, shared with neighbouring Carovigno, has two genuinely different options: a scatter of small coves within a private coastal village, and a protected nature reserve a little further along.
This guide covers both, since they're close enough to combine with a day trip from Ostuni.
Rosa Marina

Rosa Marina is a stretch of coastline just outside Ostuni made up of five small coves, where sandy pockets alternate with low cliffs, mostly within a private coastal village. It's a quieter, more low-key alternative to Salento's bigger resort beaches further south.
- Best for: cove-hopping in a smaller, calmer setting close to Ostuni.
- Good to know: non-guests reach the coves on foot, around 500 metres from the nearest public access point.
Torre Guaceto

A short drive north toward Carovigno, Torre Guaceto is a protected nature reserve with a sandy beach, transparent turquoise water and Posidonia meadows, one of the better spots on this coast for snorkelling. Access is by paid shuttle only, since private cars aren't allowed inside the reserve.
- Best for: clear water and snorkelling in a genuinely protected, uncrowded setting.
- Good to know: budget for the entry fee and shuttle as part of your visit, and note there's a sea turtle recovery centre in the reserve too.
