Torino di Sangro Marina

Torino di Sangro Marina sits where the Sangro river meets the Adriatic, on the southern stretch of the Costa dei Trabocchi between Fossacesia and Casalbordino. The beach mixes fine shingle and sand beneath low cliffs, with a scattering of trabocchi along the shoreline, and it stays quieter and less developed than the more famous stops on this coast, thanks in part to the river mouth's protected status.

The Sangro river's mouth just south of the beach forms a small wetland and dune area of some ecological interest, adding a bit of variety to the coastline beyond the trabocchi and cliffs found elsewhere on this stretch. Torino di Sangro's own hilltop old town sits inland, while the Marina below offers a straightforward beach experience with fewer crowds than Fossacesia or San Vito Chietino nearby.\n\nThe beach itself alternates between shingle and sandy patches, with a handful of beach concessions offering sunbed rental alongside free public stretches. A couple of trabocchi remain visible along this part of the coast, continuing the pattern found throughout the Costa dei Trabocchi, though the concentration here is lower than at Rocca San Giovanni or Fossacesia.\n\nThe Sentiero Verde della Costa dei Trabocchi cycling and walking path runs along this stretch too, connecting Torino di Sangro Marina to the beaches further north and south, making it a workable, quieter link in a longer coastal itinerary rather than a standalone destination in its own right.
