Spiaggia di Sori is a convenient and local-feeling beach on the Riviera di Levante, set in the Golfo Paradiso between Genoa and Recco. It is a good choice if you want a simple beach day with train access, places to eat nearby and a more everyday Ligurian atmosphere than the better-known towns of Camogli or Portofino. The beach has a mix of free public areas and equipped stabilimenti, so it works for both a quick swim and a more comfortable day with sunbeds and umbrellas. The shoreline is mainly sand and pebbles, with the beach sitting close to the town centre and backed by the hills and houses of Sori. Sori is especially useful if you are staying in Genoa and want an easy swim without travelling too far. The train station is close to the sea, which makes it much easier than many Ligurian beaches where parking or long walks can be an issue. It is also a good option for families, couples and anyone looking for a relaxed beach stop with restaurants, cafés and services nearby. This is not the most dramatic beach in Liguria, and it does not have the postcard setting of San Fruttuoso or Baia dei Saraceni. Its appeal is more practical and local: clear water, easy access, beach clubs, public beach space and a pleasant seaside village atmosphere. In July and August, Sori can still get busy, especially at weekends and during the middle of the day. For the best experience, arrive in the morning, take the train if possible, and combine the beach with lunch or aperitivo in town.
