A small, easy Amalfi Coast beach with calm water, restaurants and a relaxed town feel.
Minori Beach is a small and practical beach on the Amalfi Coast, set directly in front of the town of Minori. It has a relaxed atmosphere, clear water, beach clubs, restaurants and easy access from the seafront, making it a good choice for families, casual swims and a slower beach day away from the busiest parts of the coast.
Free public access from Minori seafront
Beach clubs available: Yes — sunbeds and umbrellas can usually be rented in season.
The beach is not very large, so the free sections can fill quickly in July and August, but the overall feel is usually calmer and more low-key than Amalfi or Positano.
By train: Can't reach by train. However, seasonal ferries connect Minori with towns such as Amalfi, Maiori and Salerno, depending on the time of year and operator.
By bus: SITA buses run along the Amalfi Coast road and stop in Minori. From the bus stop, the beach is within easy walking distance.
Parking: Minori is generally easier to manage than Positano by road, but parking can still be limited in high season. A scooter is usually easier than a car for moving along the coast.
On foot: If you are staying in Minori, the beach is very easy to reach on foot. You can also walk between Minori and Maiori via the seafront road or take the scenic Lemon Path if you want a more active route.
Minori Beach is one of the easiest beaches on the Amalfi Coast if you want a simple swim, lunch nearby and a relaxed town atmosphere. It sits directly in front of Minori, a small coastal town between Amalfi and Maiori, and feels more low-key than the better-known beaches in Positano or Amalfi. The beach is compact, with a mix of pebbles, small stones and coarse sand. It is not a wild or hidden cove, but it is practical and comfortable, especially if you are staying nearby or travelling with family. You can walk straight from the town to the water, rent sunbeds if you want them, or use one of the free public sections for a shorter visit. Minori is a good choice if you want beach time without too much effort. There are restaurants, cafés and gelato spots close to the seafront, so it is easy to combine a swim with lunch or an aperitivo. The town itself is also known for pastries, especially around Sal De Riso, which makes Minori a nice stop even if you are not planning a full beach day. The water is usually clear and good for swimming in calm weather. Because the beach is smaller than Maiori, it can still get busy in July and August, but the atmosphere is generally more relaxed than Amalfi’s Marina Grande or Positano’s main beach. Minori works especially well as a slower, easier Amalfi Coast beach. It is not the most dramatic beach in the area, but it is one of the most convenient and pleasant if you want a straightforward seaside day with everything close by.
