Vietri sul Mare Beach is a practical and easy-going option at the eastern end of the Amalfi Coast. While Positano and Amalfi are the headline names, Vietri has a more local feel, with a wider beach, easier access and a slower pace that works well for a simple seaside day. The main beach area is Marina di Vietri, below the historic centre of Vietri sul Mare. The shoreline is a mix of pebbles, small stones and coarse sand, with beach clubs, free public areas and restaurants nearby. It is not the most dramatic beach on the Amalfi Coast, but it is one of the easiest to use, especially if you are staying in Salerno or arriving by train. Vietri is a good choice if you want the Amalfi Coast without the full Positano price tag or crowds. You can take the train to Vietri sul Mare, walk or take local transport down towards the marina, rent sunbeds if you want them, and spend the day swimming, eating and relaxing by the water. The town is also known for its colourful ceramics, so it works well as a beach-and-wander destination. You can spend the morning on the beach, then head up into Vietri sul Mare to explore ceramic shops, cafés and viewpoints. This is not the beach to choose if you want a tiny cliffside cove or the postcard glamour of Positano. But if you want an accessible Amalfi Coast beach with facilities, a local feel and easy links to Salerno, Vietri sul Mare is a useful and worthwhile addition to your site.
