Cetara Marina Beach is one of the best Amalfi Coast beaches to visit if you want something more local and less polished than Positano or Amalfi. Cetara is a real fishing village, and the beach sits close to the harbour, with boats, restaurants and village life all around it. The beach is pebbly, with clear water and a compact shoreline. It is not a wide sandy beach, but it has a warm, easy atmosphere that makes it perfect for a swim followed by lunch. The setting feels simple and lived-in, with the village rising behind the beach and seafood restaurants just a short walk away. Cetara is especially good if food is part of your beach day. The village is famous for anchovies and colatura di alici, a traditional anchovy sauce that appears on local menus. It is a great place to stop for spaghetti with colatura, grilled fish or a relaxed seafood lunch after swimming. The beach has a mix of free public space and organised areas with sunbeds and umbrellas. Because it is small, it can get busy in summer, especially with local visitors and Italian families. It still usually feels calmer and more authentic than the more famous beaches further west along the coast. Cetara Marina Beach works well as a half-day stop, especially if you are staying in Maiori, Vietri sul Mare, Salerno or elsewhere on the eastern Amalfi Coast. It is not the most dramatic beach in the region, but it is one of the nicest for a relaxed local feel, clear water and a proper seafood lunch by the sea.
